Chapter 1

The Pretty Princess

Once upon a time there was a princess named Violet. She wasn't just any princess- she was the kind everyone notices when she enters any room. She had long hair that shimmered like silk in the sun, her eyes were bright like the sky after the rain. She had the sweetest smile, the kind that could make even the grumpiest person happy. Her beauty had no match ,she could make the rose shy with the redness of her cheeks. What made her truly beloved was her kind heart. She had a way of making people feel seen, whether it was a stable boy, a maid, or even the grumpy cook. Her laughter often echoed through the palace corridors, warm and musical, as if joy itself lived within her.

One morning she was taking a stroll out in the garden enjoying the soft lush grass under her feet and merrily enjoying the blossoming vibrant flowers. She was admiring the beauty of nature, and was looking at the tiny squirrely busy nibbling on the acorn nuts. She winked at the squirrel and said, "Don't worry, your little secret is safe with me! I won't tell anyone where you have hidden your secret stash of acorn nuts.”

Chapter 2

The Invitation

As Princess Violet admired the roses in the garden, a soft voice called from behind. It was Rose, her most trusted maid and companion since childhood. Rose was gentle, thoughtful, and always attentive to the princess’s needs. In her hands, she carried a velvet box tied with a silver ribbon.

“A message has arrived from Prince Jack. He wishes to escort you to the grand ball tonight at eight o’clock. And he has sent you a special gift.” said Rose.

Violet’s cheeks flushed with delight. She asked curiously, “What could it be, Rose?”

The princess opens the box and finds the most exquisite tiara she had ever seen. Its silver gleamed like moonlight, and its diamonds scattered tiny rainbows in the air. At the center lay a single teardrop-shaped gem, glowing with a soft purity. Beneath the tiara was a folded letter.

“My dearest Violet,

This tiara gleams with silver moonlight. Its jewels shine no brighter than your smile, and the teardrop gem reflects the purity of your heart. I hope you will wear it tonight, for it was made for you.

With love,

Jack.”

She looked at Rose and said with a smile, “If the prince has chosen this tiara for me, then I must look my very best tonight.”

Rose picks out a lovely dress and says, “This one, its delicate fabric embroidered with silver vines matches the tiara perfectly.”

Princess Violet agreed and said, “I’ll go and try it.” She kept the tiara on the dressing table in her room and went to change.”

Chapter 3

It Is Lost

After a few minutes she returns to her room dressed in the perfect blue gown chosen for the party her eyes froze. The tiara was gone. Violet’s heart began to pound. “No… no, it cannot be,” she whispered, checking under the table, inside drawers, even on the floor. “Where is it?” Her voice trembled as the maids rushed forward, searching every corner of the room.

She summons all the staff in her room and asks them to look for the tiara as it was a gift from prince Jack and she needs to wear it to the ball. She was close to tears when Prince Jack entered the room.

He asked, “Why are there tears in your eyes, my princess?” She replied, Violet lowered her gaze, her voice barely above a whisper. “The tiara you sent me… it is gone. I kept it safe, but now… I cannot find it.”

“You need not worry, we will find it together,” said the Prince with a reassuring smile.

Chapter 4

The Search

The palace grew restless as word of the missing tiara spread. Footsteps echoed in the long corridors and people were talking in the hush tones.

The maids swept through the princess’s chambers again, carefully checking under cushions and behind curtains. The cooks opened cupboards in the kitchen, and even the stable boys peered into haystacks in case the tiara had somehow been carried off. Rose, ever thoughtful, checked the laundry rooms and storerooms, frowning when she found nothing.

Prince along with the princess and other servants including the head of security Henry starts to look for the Tiara. But as they searched, Prince Jack’s keen eyes noticed something unsettling. Henry, the head of security, usually calm and commanding, seemed distracted. When others suggested places to look, he waved them away quickly. When the prince asked him questions, Henry’s answers were short and uneasy. He became suspicious of his intentions. Also, Henry looked a little flustered and it seemed as if he was trying to hide something.

Princess Violet had given up the hope of finding the tiara but “Wait,” Rose said, her eyes lighting up. “We have searched the halls, the kitchens, and the chambers, but not the servants’ locker room.”

Prince Jack marches towards the locker room and demands that all the locker needs to be checked. He opened a few of them and found nothing. He finally reached Henry’s locker. The locker creaked open. For a moment, everyone fell silent as the missing tiara glittered inside.

Princess Violet’s eyes were full of hurt. She stepped closer. “You have served this palace faithfully for so many years. Why would you do such a thing?

Henry bowed his head, shame burning his cheeks. At last, with trembling hands, he whispered, “Forgive me, Your Highness. My sister’s birthday is tomorrow. She has always dreamed of wearing a real princess’s crown, just once in her life. I…I only wished to give her that joy. I never meant to cause such sorrow.”

Violet’s heart, though wounded, softened. She turned to Prince Jack, who looked ready to order punishment, and she said “ sometimes a mistake is born not of greed, but of love.”

The prince slowly nodded. “You are right, my princess. Let us choose mercy.”

Chapter 5

The Big Surprise

Next morning princess Violet asked Rose to take out a perfect dress, jewelry and a tiara. Rose picked a perfect dress and asked if she could help her but the princess refused, “I’ll manage.”

That afternoon, a shy knock sounded at the palace door. A young girl, no older than thirteen, entered nervously. Her hair was neatly tied, but her hands fidgeted with her dress. She curtsied awkwardly before Princess Violet. “You must be Jessica,” Violet said warmly. “Henry has spoken of you. Please, do not be afraid.”

Jessica’s eyes widened. “Your Highness, I… I am so sorry. My brother he should not have..”

Princess violet says, “I’m not upset, I have called you as there is a surprise for you.”

Princess violet dresses Jessica in the finest of clothes, jewels and a perfect tiara! She wanted to fulfill her birthday wish! When Jessica caught her reflection in the mirror, she gasped, tears brimming in her eyes. “This… this was my only wish.”

That evening, the palace was alive with music and laughter. Prince Jack, standing proudly beside Violet, watched as Henry and Jessica entered the grand hall. Jessica twirled shyly in her gown, the borrowed tiara catching the light, while Henry bowed gratefully to the prince and princess. “Thank you,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

And so, the ball became more than a celebration of royalty, it was a celebration of kindness, forgiveness, and the joy of giving.

For Princess Violet knew that true beauty was not in the jewels she wore, but in the love she shared.
