The Guide Who Didn’t Want Us There

They looked at each other and ran to their car. Orvi drove to the campsite. As soon as they arrived, Orvi asked Ayansh, “Ready, champ?” Ayansh nodded happily as they stood at the forest entrance, breathing in the cool air.

Since it was their first trip, Orvi decided to hire a guide named Arjun. Arjun was tall and wore a faded green jacket, sturdy boots, and a handwoven bracelet made of forest twine. From a young age, he had learned how to track animals and identify plants. This had made him a respected and popular guide.

By the time they reached the campsite, they were very tired. They set up the tent and fell asleep, thinking about the adventures ahead.

While they were sleeping, strange things began to happen. Their food supplies vanished mysteriously, and the zipper of the tent was broken. When they woke up in the morning, they felt refreshed until panic set in as they realized their supplies were gone and the tent’s zipper was damaged.

Still, they didn’t let this dampen their camping spirit. They decided to follow signs to reach a nearby stream, but they ended up walking in circles. Ayansh noticed they were on the same path again and said, “Something’s not right,” to his mom. She agreed.

Suspicious, Ayansh decided to keep an eye on Arjun. Soon, he caught Arjun sabotaging their remaining supplies and confronted him. “Why are you messing with our things?” he asked. “Why can’t you let us enjoy our trip? We didn’t expect this from you. We had heard so many good things and thought you’d give us the most exciting and memorable trip of our lives.”

Arjun’s expression didn’t change. “Because people like you come here to relax and enjoy, but leave garbage behind plastic wrappers, bottles, plates, and more. They choke animals and poison the rivers.”

Ayansh felt ashamed as he remembered seeing trash in the car parking area. Orvi responded, “Not everyone is careless. We packed a trash bag to carry everything back. We can also show others how to camp responsibly.” She promised Arjun they would put up signs to keep the forest clean and even organize camping cleanup drives.

Arjun was pleased to hear this and invited them to stay one more day so he could make up for his actions and give them the best and most memorable camping experience.

Ayansh and Orvi had the best time of their lives amid the serene trees and glistening river. Arjun took them all around the forest as he knew it like the back of his head!

The End

Arjun took them to a beautiful and untouched camping spot. Ayansh and Orvi followed him without doubting his intentions. The forest was breathtaking. Birds were chirping, sunlight peeked through the tall trees, and mushrooms, butterflies, and flowers surrounded them. They even spotted a deer and an owl. Ayansh was mesmerized by the beauty of the place.

Ayansh and his mother, Orvi, began packing their bags for an exciting and adventurous trip- their very first camping trip together. Ayansh’s backpack was filled with clothes, a power bank, mosquito repellent, cream, snacks, canned food, marshmallows, a flashlight, a camera, and his favorite comic book.
