Once upon a time there was a little girl named Mia. She loved to go to the beach. She loved to play with her bouncy ball. Mia was very pretty and she had short hair. She liked to wear her red dress.
One day she and her family decided to have a picnic on the beach. Her mother was busy packing the picnic basket with food and Mia was filling her water bottle and packing the snacks. Of course she packed her bouncy ball. Her brother Kabir was happily playing with the cars in the corner. Soon they left for the beach. The sun was shining, the waves were making a splash-swoosh sound, and the sand felt warm under Mia’s feet. She giggled as she tossed her bouncy ball high in the air. They were laughing, eating, and playing happily when suddenly Kabir kicked the ball too high. It flew across the sand and bounced far away.

Mia froze. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest. “Oh no!” she cried. It was her favourite ball- the one she always carried with her. She spun around, her eyes searching across the beach, but the ball was nowhere in sight. Her eyes filled with tears. She started to panic and her eyes filled with tears.”

Her father came up to her, knelt down, and wiped tears from her cheek. He smiled softly and said, ‘Don’t worry, Mia. We’ll find it together. They decided to walk to the end of the beach. The waves crashed loudly, and Mia kept peeking behind rocks, but the ball wasn’t there. Her dad asked some children building a sandcastle if they had seen a ball. They shook their heads.

Mia was getting disheartened now. They walked towards the other side of the beach. Just when Mia was about to give up, she noticed something colourful sticking out of the sand. She ran closer; it was her ball! Someone had neatly tucked it inside a tall sandcastle, and now it was stuck. Mia pulled hard and finally freed it.

She jumped with joy and hugged her dad tightly. “I found it!” she said, smiling from ear to ear. Mia held her ball close and whispered, “I’ll never let you out of my sight again.” As the sun began to set, painting the sky pink and orange, Mia and her family sat on their picnic blanket, eating sandwiches and laughing together. The waves sparkled like they were part of the celebration.
It had been a wonderful day. Mia not only enjoyed the beach but also learned that with a little patience and help, even lost things can be found again.
