Once upon a time there were two friends named Reyansh and Aarav. They were best friends. They did everything together. After school they did their homework together and spent the rest of their time in Reyansh’s backyard.
After school, they would finish their homework and then head straight to Reyansh’s backyard a wide, sunny space that felt like their very own universe. A tall neem tree stood proudly in one corner, its branches stretching out like open arms.
The ground was covered in soft, tickly grass, perfect for lying down and staring at the clouds. Old planks of wood, ropes, broken bicycle parts, and empty boxes were scattered around treasures in disguise.
Mostly, they would talk about all things space- moon, stars, spaceship, aliens, planets, asteroids and the list was really long. Both the friends had one dream: to go to space.
Reyansh loved science and in his free time read science books and books related to space. He is an imaginative and determined boy who dreams of exploring space. Creative and practical, he loves building things and finds joy in solving problems. A natural leader, Reyansh is persuasive and thoughtful, always trying to make fair decisions. His curiosity and teamwork make him a great young astronaut- in-training.
Aarav on the other hand loved to read books about planets. In their free time they always talked about how they will one day go to space together. Aarav is an adventurous and enthusiastic boy with a deep love for space and exploration.
Full of ideas and excitement, he’s always ready for a new challenge. Though strong-willed and opinionated, Aarav values friendship and compromise. His passion, energy, and imagination make him a bold and spirited space dreamer.
One day they were talking about space and they thought let us build our own spaceship. They do a little research on the internet and read some books about space and building a rocket. They both make a list and start collecting the things from the storeroom, kitchen, backyard, craft box and electrical equipment box.
They decide to check the storeroom first. The storeroom was dusty and dim, filled with old boxes, forgotten gadgets, tangled wires, paint cans, and hidden treasures.
In the store room they found two rockets, their happiness knew no boundaries. They were excited that now they can actually go to space. After days of cutting, soldering, painting and putting together all the different things, their spaceship was ready. They even built a control panel using old TV remotes found in the store room.
They were happy and stood in front of the spaceship and said, “Tomorrow we launch for our life’s biggest adventure.”
Next morning when they are ready Aarav says, “Lets go to Mars.” Reyansh is shocked and says, “No, we should first go to the Moon because it is closer.
Aarav said, “Going to Mars is better as we might find Martians there. We will be the first to meet them. Also the first to step on Mars.”
Reyansh said, “It is safer to go on the Moon as we know all about it.” Aarav finally agrees.
They finally enter the spacecraft and blast off into space.....
They feel some water dripping on their faces. They open their eyes and realise that they are in Reyansh’s backyard and have dozed off while talking about space. This dream of theirs makes them more determined to study hard and make their dreams come true in the future.
